There are deeply moving stories about individuals that have succumbed to severe injuries due to not having sufficient utilities in their house. For example, there is no electricity, which can lead to no lights in the property, nor operating refrigerator. No heat during winter, or no cooling during the summer.
The hackneyed situation of seniors having to choose between keeping the lights on, and paying for basic needs like food and medicine, especially when on dangerously scant limited income, is ridiculous.
